About this event
One of the surest ways to deepen our capacity as gestalt therapists is to practice, and witness others practicing, in a supportive and reflective group setting. The Victorian Association of Gestalt Practitioners (VAGP) is thrilled to be offering gestalt therapy graduates an opportunity to deep-dive into practicing with their peers. Spaces are limited, so register now to avoid missing this unique opportunity.
What it is: A small, in-person, facilitated group focussed on gestalt therapy practice: doing it, observing it, thinking about it, and talking about it. Participants will observe demonstration work by the instructors, and then discuss the work as a group. Participants will also have opportunities to do their own demonstration work, both in the larger group and in smaller groupings.
What it isn’t: It isn’t group therapy. It’s not focused on group process (though, of course, the instructors will attend to group issues as necessary). It's not a group for beginners; the practice will build on the training and theory provided in gestalt therapy training programs.
The group: Will consist of between six to ten participants who have completed their gestalt therapy training (at any gestalt therapy training institute).
The commitment: The group will meet for two weekends across 2025: March 29/30 and September 20/21. Participants should only sign up for the group if they’re able to attend both weekends.
The instructors: Belinda Gibson and Rhys Price-Robertson (see bios below).
The cost: $950 for both weekends. Full payment is required before the first weekend.
Questions? Don’t hesitate to email Rhys (rhys@hereandnowcounselling.com.au).
Application process: Once you have registered, we will engage you in a brief intake process. If all parties feels confident that the group is a good fit, then you will be given instructions for payment. An initial $100 deposit will secure your spot in the group, with the remaining $850 due before the first weekend.
